Genomics Laboratory
The Laboratory of Genomics is the area inside the Laboratory of Genetics and Molecular Cardiology responsible for the molecular analysis of samples. Here, RNA samples from research projects including both human and animal cell lines and/or tissues are reverse transcripted and analyzed for gene expression by Real-Time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR), or prepared for downstream applications as RNA-Sequencing or Gene Titan Arrays. Furthermore, DNA samples are analyzed by New Generation Sequencing (NGS) using the Illumina platform (Miseq) and then, DNA variants are validated by Sanger-type sequencing (ABI 3500xL).
